Circe
Madeline Miller
Discover the world of Circe, a peculiar daughter of the mighty god Helios, who discovers her ability to wield witchcraft. After being banished to a deserted island, Circe hones her craft, tames wild beasts, and encounters numerous famous mythological figures. But being a lone woman draws danger, and she soon finds herself facing the wrath of gods and men alike. In the end, Circe must choose between her godly birthright or the mortals she loves. A thrilling tale of strength, love, and ultimately, choice.

Good morning—sending love & prayers & another booklist from our little quarantine corner to yours. What recent fiction have you loved? (FYI: the next couple lists are memoir, food writing, faith writing, & books about writing/creativity...what other categories should we do?) – source2021-10-14T09:38:37.000Z
67/100. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. After Circe I had high hopes, and the book delivers (though it came first). Story of Achilles told from the perspective Patroclus, steering clear of cliches. Story of Achilles influences also another book I'm reading currently.. – source2019-12-23T20:19:18.000Z
Halfway through. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fiction book to finish out the year. Think I may try to fit in a history book before 2020. Any recommendations? – source
