This book follows a failed novelist about to turn fifty who receives a wedding invitation from his ex-boyfriend of nine years. He accepts invitations to literary events around the world to avoid the awkwardness of the wedding. Arthur Less almost falls in love in Paris, almost falls to his death in Berlin, and encounters the last person on Earth he wants to face. Through it all, this book is ultimately a love story.
