Zora Neale Hurston was a leader of the Harlem Renaissance movement and a fighter for the rights of African-Americans. Like so many, I was profoundly impacted by her novel Their Eyes were Watching God, one of the most important books of the 20th century. – source2021-02-11T14:00:32.000Z
I listened to THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOD by Zora Neale Hurston and it is now one of my top 5 favorite books of all time. Stunning! I'm mad at myself for not reading it sooner. Ruby Dee's performance of the audio was transformative. Thanks @librofm! – source
