Decoding Our Origins

This anthology is a collection of stories written by eighteen authors who were born in Colombia and adopted internationally. Decoding Our Origins explores the different aspects of transracial adoption and the traumatic loss of culture and identity that comes with it. Despite the difficult topics, the authors illustrate their indomitable tenacity and perseverance as they negotiate their way through childhood, parenthood, search, reunion, and the nail-biting wait for DNA test results. This intimate and honest anthology is the first published nonfiction exclusively written by Colombian adoptees. All proceeds go to reunite families separated by adoption.
