The Best of Enemies, Movie Edition
Race and Redemption in the New South
Osha Gray Davidson
This book tells the story of C.P. Ellis, a young man who joins the Ku Klux Klan in Durham, North Carolina, and Ann Atwater, a single mother who quits her job as a household domestic to fight for civil rights. Though they initially meet on opposite sides of the public school integration issue, they eventually develop an unlikely friendship that transcends the bigotry and hate that surrounds them. Now adapted into a major motion picture, this powerful story shows how two people from different backgrounds can come together and see past their differences to build a lasting connection.

Even if you believe @KyleKashuv is racist, which I do not, please read the book Best of Enemies about C.P. Ellis and Ann Atwater. People learn and grow with new life experience. Teaching is more effective than punishment - hence why our prison system is broken. – fuente
