Goodreads Rating
Explore the gritty, heart-stopping world of homicide investigation in this stunning book that inspired the hit series, The Wire. Follow a year in the lives of Baltimore's hardworking homicide unit, as they risk everything to bring justice to a city plagued by crime. David Simon, the creator of the TV show, takes you behind the scenes through the eyes of three detectives, each with their own stories and challenges, including a shocking case involving the rape and murder of an 11-year-old girl. Re-released for a new generation, with added photos and extra content, this true crime masterpiece is not to be missed.

@grisuy @anthoknees The snot boogy story is also based on something that really happened as I recall. If you haven’t read @AoDespair’s book Homicide, you should. It’s amazing and has a lot of the source material from the Wire and Homicide the show.      source
