Alchemy
The Dark Art and Curious Science of Creating Magic in Brands, Business, and Life
Rory Sutherland
Alchemy is a revolutionary book that decodes human behavior, blending leading-edge scientific research, storytelling, and practical case studies from Ogilvy advertising legend Rory Sutherland's storied career working on campaigns for AmEx, Microsoft, and others. Sutherland combines deep psychological insights with absurdly entertaining storytelling to teach readers the dark art and curious science of conjuring irresistible ideas. He masterfully shares secrets to human decision-making, revealing how we can use "branding" not just to sell products, but also to promote social aims such as encouraging more women to pursue careers in tech or improving public health outcomes. Don't miss out on this unique thought leader's journey through the strange world of decision-making, filled with astonishing lessons for all aspects of life and business.

Finished reading Alchemy. Excellent book on behavioral economics & finding creative solutions to daily Business issues.
A single book itself can give you so many approaches, all for a few dollars.
Without extensive reading, nobody can succeed on a free mkt basis (not "setting") – source2019-09-06T15:12:18.000Z
This book by @rorysutherland is as good as everyone else says it is. – source2019-08-17T13:12:26.000Z
I’ve been struggling to find a great non-fiction book lately, but Alchemy by @rorysutherland is off to a strong start. Looking forward to the rest. – source2019-11-23T17:40:56.000Z
Agree. This is a great book by @rorysutherland that will shake up how you think about lots of things. Try it, and you'll realize you're nowhere near as epistemically humble as you should be. – source2019-11-23T14:31:43.000Z
About halfway through "Alchemy" by @rorysutherland. I don't like his "anti-reason/pro-magic" framing, but this book contains more clever ideas/great insights/excellent jokes per page than anything I've read in a long time. Very highly recommended. – source2020-03-05T16:25:43.000Z
Since it’s #WorldBookDay, I’ve decided to give away my favorite book this year: Alchemy by @rorysutherland
It’s brilliant. If you like crazy ideas that don’t make any sense, you’ll love this book. I’ll send my copy (dog ears and all) to the person whose comment I like the most. – source
