@theashleyray It depends on the school (more intense ones teach high school algebra in 6th grade) but mostly the issue is yes, how gifted kids are treated and pressured by parents and teachers. It genuinely changes mental health. This is a great book to understand it btw:      fuente

Identifica y resuelve los traumas familiares heredados
Mark Wolynn - 2016-04-26
Calificación de Goodreads
DEPRESIÓN. ANSIEDAD. DOLORES CRÓNICOS. FOBIAS. PENSAMIENTOS OBSESIVOS.

Here are some good books that establish that trauma ALSO lives in the body, and some is also INHERITED, and wrestling with only your thoughts is not helpful on its own. Good therapy addresses the brain, the body, and the past. Everything I've said here is from these books.      fuente

Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business
Charles Duhigg - 2012-02-28

@JosephEdmundKe1 It can be a clinical psychologist or a licensed social worker (MSW). Psychology Today has therapist listings; this theory is based on attachment theory (that we play out subconscious childhood patterns until we learn better.) Also, the book is great; take notes while reading 🙏      fuente
